WELCOME TO BANYERS HOUSE
One of Royston's most iconic buildings, Banyers House in Melbourn Street, re opened its doors in December 2016. Situated within easy walking distance of the town centre, this Grade II listed Georgian building has been transformed into a destination venue with a dedicated car park, 90-seat restaurant, extensive bar area and nine boutique-style bedrooms.
Open all day from 7am, we serve a seasonal, Mediterranean-inspired menu in the light filled orangery and elegant dining room. Whether you're tempted to try a Neapolitan pizza, freshly prepared by one of our trained pizzaiolos and cooked in our wood-fired oven, or one of our dishes cooked to order in our charcoal fuelled Josper grill, you'll find we place great emphasis on the quality and provenance of our ingredients.
For families, we offer a bespoke children's menu with accompanying activity pack, whilst most dietary requirements are met with ease.
With its extensive and varied drinks menu, our bar area provides a range of comfortable seating options, including a separate lounge bar that can be transformed into a private dining or function room to suit any special occasion or business event.
Completing the experience, our boutique style, en-suite bedrooms have been sympathetically designed and comfortably furnished to reflect the building's unique characteristics whilst at the same time providing those essential personal touches that make you feel at home.
What Our Guests Say
THE OAKMAN INNS FAMILY
Banyers House is the 17th site and 5th in Hertfordshire for Oakman Inns whose Head Office is in Tring.
"Royston is a really great town and we are all looking forward to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere and seeing Banyers once again play a key part at the heart of Royston's community"
Peter Borg-Neal, CEO & Founder of Oakman Inns
Oakman Inns & Restaurants was founded in 2005. Our vision was to create an environment where like-minded people could come and enjoy some great food and drinks whilst catching up with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
We quickly won a place in the hearts and minds of local people through our support of local sports teams and community events. Then we started winning awards too. Today we work hard to replicate this recipe in each and every new pub that we open.
